Promethist for Claude

Connecting Claude

Choose the Region

Connect to the region your Promethist account is hosted in — the address you open the Studio at:

Region MCP server URL

EU

https://eu.promethist.ai/api/v1/mcp

US

https://us.promethist.ai/api/v1/mcp

The regions are completely separate: different accounts, different data and a separate sign-in. An account, project or agent of one region does not exist in the other. If you work in both, connect both and keep each piece of work in one of them.

Claude on the Web and Claude Desktop

Add the server as a custom connector:

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Give it a name such as Promethist EU and enter the MCP server URL of your region. No client ID or secret is needed — Claude registers itself with the server.

  3. Choose Connect. Your browser opens the Promethist sign-in page; sign in as you do in the Studio.

On Claude’s Team and Enterprise plans, custom connectors may have to be added by an organization owner first; each member then connects their own Promethist sign-in.

Cowork and Claude Desktop with the Plugin

If Promethist has given you the Promethist plugin, install it under Customize → Plugins. Installing the plugin does not connect anything yet. Then, once per region you use:

  1. Open the plugin and its Connectors tab.

  2. Enable the connector of your region — promethist-eu or promethist-us.

  3. Choose Connect and sign in in the browser.

The plugin also lists a promethist-preview connector for Promethist’s pre-release environment. It has its own accounts and data; connect it only when Promethist asks you to try something there.

Claude Code

Add the server and authenticate from a Claude Code session:

claude mcp add --transport http promethist-eu https://eu.promethist.ai/api/v1/mcp

Then run /mcp in a Claude Code session, select promethist-eu and choose Authenticate. Claude Code opens the sign-in page in your browser and receives the result on a local callback. With the Promethist plugin installed, the servers are already registered as promethist-eu, promethist-us and promethist-preview; only the authentication step is needed.

Check the Connection

Ask Claude to list your Promethist accounts. It calls list_tenants, which returns every account of that region in which you are a member of the account or of one of its projects. An empty answer means the sign-in worked but you are not a member of anything in this region — check that you connected the right one.
